  • Day centres provide a safe place during the day with food, showers, laundry, clothing, and advice.
  • You do not need a referral or appointment to visit most day centres. Just turn up during opening hours.
  • Many day centres have support workers who can help you apply for housing, benefits, or access health services.
  • Some centres offer activities, training, or volunteering opportunities to help you build skills and routine.

  • You have the right to access day centres regardless of immigration status, ID, or whether you are claiming benefits.
  • You should be treated with respect and dignity. If you feel unsafe or mistreated, speak to a manager or contact another service.
